What is Reiki?
It’s a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that can also promote healing. The concept comes from two Japanese words. “Rei,” which means “Soul”; and “Ki,” which is “Energy.” Reiki can be explained as: “A healing power guided by spiritual energy”. It closely parallels the experience of Reiki practitioners and recipients.
As an energy healing modality, a Reiki practitioner only acts as an open channel to deliver the healing energy to the client. Reiki energy seems to have an intelligence of its own, flowing where it is needed in the client and creating the healing conditions necessary for everyone.
Reiki is an intelligent energy that clears the chakras, removes energy blockages, and is disbursed through the body, targeting the energy where healing is needed the most. Chakras are seven main points of energy sources in the body that form a vertically aligned pathway of energy through the body and auric field.

What Can i Expect?
The patient needs to be in a peaceful setting for better results. They will sit in a comfortable chair or lie on a table, fully clothed. There can be music or relaxing nature sounds, but it all depends on the patient’s preferences. It can also be held in complete silence if preferred.
The practitioner places their hands lightly on or over specific areas of the head, limbs, and torso using different hand shapes, for between 2 and 5 minutes. The hands can be placed over 20 different areas of the body.
If there is an injury, the hands may be held just above it. While the practitioner holds their hands lightly on or over the body, the transfer of energy takes place. During a session, patients tend to fall into a trancelike state where they have incredibly lucid dreams.
What are the risks?
There are absolutely no risks during a reiki session. Reiki is used all over the world by people of many different faiths, cultures, and spiritual paths. This non-invasive, benign healing modality is becoming more and more popular. Reiki is destined to play an important role as an accepted and valued healing practice.
